FILL 201 In-person workshop · Fillers track - level 2 of 5

Intermediate fillers with ultrasound guidance.

Ultrasound-guided planning · small cohort

A one-day intermediate filler workshop for clinicians who want to make ultrasound part of safer assessment, treatment planning, and escalation decisions.

For

Experienced injectors ready to add ultrasound-guided assessment to filler planning.

Duration

1 intensive teaching day

Cohort size

Maximum 6 candidates per cohort

CPD & certificate

Attendance certificate and reflective CPD record supplied.

01 The day, hour by hour

What you'll actually do on 14 Sept.

Every workshop runs to the same shape: theory in the morning, anatomy review and live demonstration before lunch, hands-on practice on volunteer models in the afternoon, post-workshop debrief.

Welcome & pre-workshop assessment

Faculty introductions, candidate experience map, baseline knowledge check. We adjust depth of explanation through the day to the cohort's starting point.

Indications, contraindications & filler planning

Patient selection, product choice, danger zones, treatment sequencing, consent language, and when not to treat. Dose and volume strategy is handled through cases, not recipes.

Mid-face anatomy review & ultrasound demonstration

Layered mid-face anatomy, vascular mapping, and live ultrasound demonstration on a faculty model before translating findings into treatment design.

▣ Ultrasound demonstration

Lunch & informal Q&A with faculty

Lunch is provided in the conservatory. Faculty stay through lunch; bring questions you didn't ask in the morning session.

Live patient demonstration · faculty injection

Faculty performs a complete filler planning and injection sequence on a volunteer patient. You observe technique, ultrasound use, patient communication, and escalation decisions in real time.

▶ Live patient

Hands-on practice · ultrasound-guided

Two candidates per volunteer model. Faculty over the shoulder. Each candidate works through assessment, marking, product-placement planning, and supervised injection.

▣ Hands-on practice

Complications, follow-up protocol & debrief

Recognition and escalation of vascular compromise, occlusion rehearsal, recall thresholds, post-treatment documentation, and faculty hotline access for the next 30 days.

Certificate & close

CPD certificate issued. Course materials given out. Optional informal drinks locally for those who want them.

02 Faculty for this workshop

Two clinicians. One cohort.

Every workshop is led by two faculty for a six-candidate cohort. The same two faculty teach all of 14 Sept; you don't get rotating instructors.

04 Before the day

Two things to do, two things to bring.

Before the workshop

Pre-workshop preparation

  • Complete the online FOUND 101 anatomy review; we assume this foundation on the day.
  • Read the pre-workshop pack sent on registration; about 40 minutes covering indications, contraindications, and planning tables.
  • Review your professional indemnity policy to confirm aesthetic injectable scope is covered for your post-workshop practice.
  • If you have any GMC/GDC fitness-to-practise concerns active, please tell us before the day; this affects insurance arrangements.

On the day

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your GMC/GDC card or printed registration. We verify on entry.
  • Clinical scrubs or smart-casual under a clinical apron. Aprons provided. No suits or open-toe shoes on the practice bench.
  • A notebook. We don't laptop the workshop; too much screen, not enough hands.
  • Your loupes if you use them. We don't provide loupes; ultrasound and standard room lighting suffice for most candidates.

07 Common questions

Specifically about this workshop.

01 Is the model live, mannequin, or peer?

All hands-on practice is on volunteer live models, recruited and pre-screened by the academy. Two candidates per model. Models attend the full day, return for follow-up at two weeks, and are insured under our training-day policy. We do not use peer practice for injectable workshops, and we do not use mannequins.

02 Can I attend without having completed FOUND 101 first?

Yes, if your clinical background and experience are equivalent. The registrar will check this before confirming your place.

03 Which brand of filler will be used?

The product choice is confirmed in the joining pack and may vary by cohort. Training focuses on assessment, anatomy, planning, and complication management rather than brand loyalty.

04 Can my NHS trust or private practice expense the fee?

Yes. The registrar can provide a formal invoice and attendance confirmation for employer-funded places.

05 If I'm a member, how is the discount applied?

The registrar applies the current member discount before payment is collected, once membership status is verified.

Final Reserve a place

3 seats left on 14 Sept.

A small cohort keeps the day focused. Reserve the selected session or speak to the registrar if you need to confirm eligibility first.
